Nov. ’17 Friday Favorites

Hey friends, welcome to another Friday Favorites! I’ve got some new tunes and great recipes for you below!

Kasey Tyndall

A few weeks ago, Matt and I got to go see Parmalee with only about one hundred other people, which was such a fun experience! Parmalee was great, but I was also really impressed with the opener, Kasey Tyndall. She blends rock n’ roll with country and has some great pipes! She currently has three singles out, but is releasing her first EP soon. She’s definitely an up and coming artist to watch!

Halloween Muddy Buddies

So I know Halloween just wrapped on Tuesday, but I thought I would share this great Halloween Muddy buddy recipe for next year! I followed the recipe from A Pumpkin and A Princess and just added pretzels for some saltiness. I hate candy corn so I did candy corn colored mnms instead.  Fair warning: this makes a HUGE bowl of muddy buddies so make sure you have a large enough container to store it! But I promise they will be a welcome addition to any party!

Bacon-wrapped Sausages with Garlic Parmesan Asparagus and Potatoes

Matt and I had this for dinner last week, and it was a great one sheet meal! We used apple chicken sausage and the bacon was a great complement to a sweeter sausage. The parmesan garlic seasoning was a great touch. The only thing I would change about this is putting the asparagus in a little later than the recipe calls for so that it’s a little firmer.

The Good Doctor

Confession: I rarely watch current shows because a) I don’t have cable and b) Netflix. But as soon as I saw trailers for The Good Doctor, I knew that Matt and I would have to watch. It comes from the same guy that produces House, another of our favorite shows. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the show, it follows a surgical resident at San Jose St. Bonaventure hospital who is autistic and has savant syndrome. So basically he is similar to Dr. House in that he has difficulty communicating to people but is also a genius, but unlike House he’s a really sweet character. Also, who doesn’t love Freddie Highmore? You can watch it on abc.com Monday nights or catch up later!

Us the Duo Christmas CD

I saved the best for last: US THE DUO IS COMING OUT WITH A CHRISTMAS CD! This is not a drill. I already pre-ordered it because it’s going to be amazing. Those harmonies are going to be heaven in Christmas carols, and it looks like they wrote a few new ones for the CD. It will be released on November 17, just in time to enjoy it before Christmas. I highly recommend ordering it on amazon today!

Hope you enjoyed my November Friday Favorites! See you next time!

  1. Wendy says:

I RARELY cook since there’s just one of me now but i have most of the ingredients for that pan meal….just
bought asparagus and always have apple chicken sausage on hand. I love that stuff! I’m thinking of trying it with turkey bacon. And yes, Good Doctor is a good show.
