2. LETTERBOARD
So I’ve had my eye on getting a letterboard for a while now, but I couldn’t justify the expense. But then it was Christmas, and I felt like it was a great time to buy it for myself nicely ask my husband to get it for me after I put in his card information :). I have had so. much. fun. with my letterboard. 15/10 would recommend. It’s just as fun as it looks on everyone’s instagram, I promise! I found this really beautiful letterboard and was so impressed when it came. It’s a great size at $39.99 and it comes with two different sizes of letters! It even comes with a lifetime warranty in case something happens. It would be a great Valentine’s Day gift!
3. KATE SPADE STUDS
My sweet mother-in-law totally spoiled me this Christmas. Even though she didn’t know it, I always thought these sparkly Kate Spade studs were so cute. And what do you know, they ended up in my stocking! They were perfect to wear on New Year’s Eve since they are glittery, but I think they could also spice up the average workday outfit as well. They currently come in gold, silver, and multi-glitter. They are a little spendy at $32, but they do have free shipping! Here are some similar earrings from Accessory Concierge if you want a different color. With shipping included, they are the same price.
4. HANDMADE VALENTINES
I’m not going to lie, the last few weeks have been stressful. When Sunday came around, I knew that I needed some good R&R to prepare myself for the week ahead. My boss had let me borrow her Memory Keeper envelope punch board after I had ooo’d and ahhh’d at some envelopes and cards she had made for our team, so I decided to make some fun Valentine’s Day cards and envelopes with it. Funny enough, I even had a Joanne’s gift card in my wallet for about 6 years that I was finally able to use on supplies!
While the tool was a bit difficult to navigate at first, once I watched some tutorial videos I figured it out. Let me tell you, with this punch board it is so easy to make all kinds of envelopes! It was such a relaxing craft for me to do and a great excuse to make some cards for my family. If you’re into making your own Valentine’s Day cards, I’d definitely recommend getting this board!
5. THE BLACKLIST
So you know how Netflix has this great new feature where you can pre-download certain shows and movies for when you don’t have wifi, such as when you go on plane or car trips? (If not, now you do, you’re welcome.) WELL I downloaded one such show for our flight to Oregon this Christmas: The Blacklist. I didn’t know if I would watch it since it seemed a little intense, but Matt convinced me to watch the first episode with him since he had seen a few before. I was immediately hooked.
The show centers on Raymond Reddington, a high-profile criminal who voluntarily surrenders to the FBI after eluding capture for decades. He tells the FBI that he has a blacklist of the most dangerous criminals in the world that he has compiled over the years and is willing to inform on their operations in exchange for immunity from prosecution. However, he insists on working exclusively with rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen.
I loved the first few seasons of Alias and the occasional spy movie, but the unique thing about this show is that it gives more insight into the mind of the criminal, since he is one of the main characters. Each episode centers on a different criminal on the blacklist, while also uncovering layers of the relationship between Keen and Reddington. This is a great show to binge watch if you can handle a little violence. A great one to watch with your S.O.!
Hope you enjoyed my Friday Favorites! As always, I’d love to know your thoughts.
