Year of Goals

Hey friends!

I admit, I’ve been a little MIA this summer what with all the transitions going on. But even though I wasn’t blogging, I have been considering for a while what I should blog about this next year.

Last year I blogged about doing twelve different hobbies, which was a great way to fill my time and explore new things. I had a blast, but after moving across the country, starting a new job and beginning grad school, I wanted to do something a little more long term and a little less intensive.

SO I decided that for this next year, I’m picking eight goals to do over the span of the year. I’m choosing to do it this way because a lot of them are long term habits that I think will add a lot to my life and will help keep me sane during such a crazy year. I’ll shoot to blog at least every other week, but maybe more if I can find the time!

Goals

  1. Read six impactful books
  2. Work out once a week
  3. Spend twenty minutes of quiet time at least five days out of the week
  4. Do one creative project a month
  5. Be more responsible with money – save more and give more
  6. Collect and organize Matt’s and my monthly letters (only about 7 year’s worth!)
  7. Explore the east coast
  8. Unplug for a week

I hope you guys enjoy following my #yearofgoals and end up trying some out yourself! See you soon for Friday Favorites!

Good goals!! I could apply many of those to my life as well. Action is the word. Thinking about them does not make them happen. Glad you had a fun weekend with the Barker’s! Let me know how the job goes!
