Hey friends, welcome to another Friday Favorites! Hope you enjoy my review of new things I have been doing and using lately!
If you have read my blog for a while, you know that exercising is not one of my favorite activities. However, since I have had some free time on my hands and I do want to be healthier, I decided that I should at least do a little bit. I got the Nike+ Training app years ago and used it more in college and recently started using it again. They have a ton of different kinds of workouts ranging from 10 minutes to an hour and they even have customizable classes. There are videos for each exercise and a voice guides you through. I have enjoyed doing a few targeted fifteen minutes exercises and would recommend for both exercise newbies and those more experienced!
Budget Bytes does it again! I tried out this recipe this last week – I’m trying to sneak more Greek food into our diet since the Mediterranean food around here is scarce! Surprisingly, Matt actually liked it! The meal was so tasty, easy to make, and relatively healthy! It also makes for great leftovers. Make with a side of pita and you have a great meal!
Since I have been home for much of the day the past few weeks, I decided I need to do something crafty to keep me busy. So I fished out some of my crochet hooks and learned how to do a granny square, and after somewhat mastering that, decided to do a scarf. Bella Coco has a fantastic youtube tutorial, and her wonderful British accent makes it even better. If you’re looking for something fun to do, check it out!
After one side of my old earphones stopped working, I decided to try out these Panasonic earphones with a mic. I have really enjoyed them so far – they have great sound and block out quite a bit of outside noise for being so small. I like that I can also stop and start music with the buttons. If you’re in the market for some new earphones, definitely give these a try!
OK so I know I already did a review of Vidangel, but I have to do another one because they changed their service! Previously, they focused on filtering movies, but due to their legal battle with the major movie corporations, they changed their services to focus on filtering TV shows! That’s right, you now can hook up your Netflix and Amazon accounts to filter your shows and movies and remove any cursing, violence, or other inappropriate content. The first month is free and months after are $8, which I think is totally worth it.
