1. Date passport book

My sweet friend Amy got me this cute little date passport book for Christmas, and I have loved using it to keep track of Matt’s and my dates! It’s especially been fun keeping track of our date night in boxes, as we always have so much fun with them. Each entry helps you record things from the weather to where you went, to how good the conversation was to your favorite moment. AND I just discovered that the back has some fun additions like a restaurant bucket list, a good old date themed MASH game and a rite of passage checklist. Letterfolk sells the book for $10, which I think is a great deal. They also have some other fun passport books for things like road trips, concerts, books, and tacos! They are a great gift idea for anyone.

2. Mistborn trilogy

I don’t read a lot of fantasy, so when my boss insisted I read one of his favorite fantasy novels I was a bit skeptical. Although the books are a bit lengthy, I am ON BOARD with the Mistborn trilogy. They are written by Brandon Sanderson, who happened to finish the Wheel of Time series I also enjoyed. I’m now on the third and final book which makes me sad, but I discovered there is a follow-up trilogy, so there’s hope. The world and logic of the magic used are brilliantly set up, and there are a lot of twists and turns to keep things interesting. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something new to read!

3. Lululemon wunder under leggings

Guys. My husband is the sweetest for several reasons, but one of them is that he used some money that he got for Christmas to buy basically the one thing I didn’t get, which was Lululemon leggings. He is seriously the best, and so are these leggings. I figured if I got some serious workout clothes it would help me keep my new year’s resolution of exercising more, and honestly it kind of worked. All the leggings pretty much looked the same to me, but after trying on a few I walked away with the Wunder Under High-Rise 7/8 Tight Full-On Luxtreme 25″ leggings. Basically they are great if you want to use them for light workouts or just running to the store (which I have definitely used them for). They are so comfortable but also thick so they keep you warm and aren’t see through like some leggings are. I’ve only had them for a few months, but so far they’ve held up well in the wash. They are pretty spendy, but if you’re in the market for some good leggings I would recommend these!

4. Everything but the bagel seasoning

If you happen to love a little store called Trader Joe’s, you’ve probably heard of this seasoning, but if not, let me enlighten you. Other than salt, this is probably the best seasoning there is. It is the perfect combination of garlic, salt, onion, sesame seeds, and poppy seeds. It’s just goodness, and I put it on everything. Chicken. Avocado toast. Eggs. Popcorn. All. of. the. things. It is the #1 best selling seasoning on Amazon, even though it is way cheaper to get it in the store for about $2. Do yourself a favor and go buy some, you won’t be disappointed.

5. Spinach and cheese breakfast pockets

Speaking of EBTB seasoning, it went perfectly on these breakfast pockets I made! I found this recipe when I was looking for healthy make-ahead breakfasts, and I’m glad I did. The stuffing is made from spinach, basil, ricotta cheese, and sundried tomatoes, wrapped in pie crust to make the pockets and of course sprinkled with EBTB seasoning. The recipe calls for only 2 pie crusts but I think there was enough filling to fill at least another half of a pie crust. Fair warning: pie crusts are supposed to defrost for an hour (which I didn’t know when I went to make them), but I found that I could carefully defrost them in the microwave and it worked just fine. They were super quick to make and it was nice to wake up and have something to grab on the way to work that was pre-made!
