May ’19 Friday Favorites

Who else is PUMPED that it’s finally summer?Image result for blonde raise hand emoji I’m sorry I missed Friday Favorites last month, but hopefully I will make it up to you with this month’s roundup! It has everything you need to relax this summer 🙂

1. A New Day Jumpsuit

I have been on the hunt for a jumpsuit for a few months now, but my long torso and short legs make it really difficult to find one that fits right! However, I recently went to Target in search of a work dress (of course walked away with everything BUT that) and I found the PERFECT jumpsuit! It can be easily dressed up or down, and the cinched waist and loose legs make it a great jumpsuit for all body types.

2. Matte Metallic Polish

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw me post about this nail polish a few weeks ago. I love this polish so much that I bought it in another color. I love the matte finish of this polish, it’s so different! I got it in the Gold Rush color, which was a little more yellow than I was expecting but I ended up loving it. It’s the perfect color for summer. It’s about $5 at Target!

3. The Name of the Wind

This book has been the talk of the office the last few months, and even though I typically don’t read fantasy books I decided to give it a try. I enjoyed this book even more than the Mistborn series they previously recommended; it reminded me a bit of Harry Potter. It’s a longer book, so perfect for the summer! So far there are two books in this series, and the author, Patrick Rothfuss, is working on the third. Here’s a little description from Goodreads:

Told in Kvothe’s own voice, this is the tale of the magically gifted young man who grows to be the most notorious wizard his world has ever seen.

The intimate narrative of his childhood in a troupe of traveling players, his years spent as a near-feral orphan in a crime-ridden city, his daringly brazen yet successful bid to enter a legendary school of magic, and his life as a fugitive after the murder of a king form a gripping coming-of-age story unrivaled in recent literature.

4. Bubly Sparkling Water

Most people I know have mixed feelings on sparkling water, especially ones like La Croix that don’t have a lot of flavor. I liked La Croix, but when I tried Bubly I was hooked! Bubly has a lot more flavor, but it’s not too overpowering. I’ve tried mango, peach, and raspberry and have loved them all! I typically get them at Walmart for about $3 for a pack of 8. As someone who doesn’t really like water, this is a great way to stay hydrated in these hot summer months!

5. Fluxx Card Game

Last but not least, my latest favorite card game! I bought this game for my sister for Christmas, but hope to get my own soon. Although this game is a bit complicated to learn at first, once you do it’s a blast. The game is called Fluxx because the rules of the game are constantly changing. Players collect cards to reach a goal and win the game, but the goal or your hand of cards could change at any time! This is a fun game to play with friends or family because it keeps you on your toes. It’s perfect for a summer vacation or game night!

I hope you enjoyed my Friday Favorites this month! Keep an eye out for an upcoming post about my latest Date Night In box 🙂
